島全体がクリスマスムードいっぱいですね！
Did you know that Japan has Christmas too?
日本にもクリスマスがあること、ご存知でしたか？
Christmas has been started in the year 1552 in Japan.
1552年から日本でクリスマスが始まったそうです。
But it hadn't been popular until the year 1900 because of the suppression to Christian.
ですがキリスト教弾圧により、1900年まで一般的に広まることはなかったそうです。
Now, it's not the national holiday but most of people celebrate Christmas!
現在では、祝日ではないもののほとんどの人がクリスマスを祝います。
But it's much more for commercial.
ただ、商業的な部分が多いです。
I think, most of Japanese think that "Christmas is the day which people can get gifts, eat Chicken and cakes".
私が思うに、日本人のほとんどはクリスマスを「プレゼントがもらえて、チキンとケーキを食べる日」といった感覚に捕らえていると思います。
*They know it's the day of celebrating the birth of christ.haha
*キリストの誕生日ということはちゃんと知ってますよ。笑
And it's also one of the romantic days for couples.
そして、カップルにとってはロマンチックな日でもあります。
That's why it's kinda hard days for people who's single.
なので恋人がいない人にはちょっと辛い日でもありますね。
(It's called "Single Bell".haha Do you say that in U.S. too??)
（なのでシングルベルと言いますよね。笑 アメリカでもこの言葉使うのでしょうか？？）
