Do you know the meaning of those word?
この言葉の意味をご存知ですか？



It is pronounced "Mu Ryou Jyu"
”むりょうじゅ”と発音します。





無量(Mu Ryou) means "Something which is uncountably numerous"/"Many"
無量とは「量のはかり知れないほど多いこと/莫大なこと」という意味で

寿(Jyu) means "Celebration/Congratulation" and "Longevity/Long Life"
寿は「お祝い事」そして「長寿、長命」という意味があります。


無量寿 means "immeasurable life" and "Buddha" itself.
無量寿とは「測り知れない生命」、そして「阿弥陀仏」そのものを意味しています。




We have some Buddhist/religious items such as Butsudan and Kamidana.
私共は仏壇や神棚と言った仏教的・宗教的なものも取り扱っております。

Byobu/屏風

How is your weekend?
週末はいかがお過ごしですか？



I was looking around the store to find a topic for the blog today.
本日、ブログの話題を探す為にお店を見渡しておりました。



Then this one caught my eyes.
そして、これが私の目に留まりました。



Byobu Screen!
屏風です！


Back ground color is GOLD!
And Japanese apricot was painted on it with white and pink color.
背景色は金です！
そして梅の絵が白とピンクで描かれております。


It's hard to see from this picture, but the pink color is really match with the gold.
写真からは分かりづらいですが、ピンクが金とマッチしていてとても綺麗なのです。


Byobu screen can be used as divider and you can hang it on the wall too.
屏風はお部屋の仕切りとしても使えますし、壁に掛けてお楽しみいただくことも出来ます。

自在鉤/JIZAIKAGI

Well today, I would like to introduce "JIZAIKAGI".

さて、本日は｢自在鉤｣について紹介させていただこうと思います。



"JIZAIKAGI" is basically a pothook. A device that enables a pot "NABE" or tea kettle "TETSUBIN" to be suspended over a sunken hearth, "IRORI".

自在鉤とは、囲炉裏の上で、鍋や鉄瓶などを引っ掛ける為のフックのことです。




It was called "JIZAIKAGI" (lit. 'free hook') because the pothook was adjustable, allowing a pot to be lowered or raised away from the fire as required.

引っ掛ける高さを、低くしたり高い位置に変えたり、自在に調節が可能な為、自在鉤と呼ばれるようになりました。



In present-day, it is rare to have a sunken hearth, "IRORI" in a house. However people still like to display it as a pendant because of the interesting design.

現代では囲炉裏がある家は珍しくなりましたが、そのデザインの面白さからディスプレイとして飾られる方も多いようです。

みなさんは何かエコしてますか？

As all of you knows, Hawaii is laying emphasis on Eco.
みなさんがご存知のようにハワイでもエコに力を入れています

There is an commercial for saving the water, Longs and supermarket has many desings and kinds of Eco bag and the Wind-generated electricity project is starting in North East Oahu.

節水を呼びかけるコマーシャルが放送されたり、ロングスやスーパーでは色々なデザインや種類のエコバックを売っていたり、オアフ島北東部では風力発電のプロジェクトが始まっています。

Local people positively wrestle against re-cycle because if they take 1 can or 1 bottle to the clooection center, 5 cents per a can or bottle are return.

回収センターに空き缶や空き瓶を持っていくと、１缶（１瓶）につき５セントが戻ってくるので、地元の人達もリサイクルに積極的です

Of course our shop treat Eco things.
