The reason for the high value for zelkova used furnitures is because of the time frame for the wood to be furnitures. It takes at least 70 - 80 years to grow up mature enough to be cut. Then there will be another 5-10 years of dry storage. Usually it takes 100-120 years for them to become furnitures, and this is why they are valuable and appreciated.
