At Sannaka-WEST, it is available to order the existing shelves as well as your custome order ones from Japan.
There are a variety of color for outside, designs, metal fittings, and wood materials such as zelkova, polownia, or castor for the shelves. Inside of the shelves have soft texture of wood and wooden pegs are used to construct them.
Mingei tansu are traditional Japanese kind of shelf. It has been said that samurais used the shelves for storeing their katanas or important documents back in the days, and are still very valuable nowadays too.
